Liposculpture

Has diet and exercise failed to reduce those areas of unwanted fat. Liposculpture may be what you are looking for. Liposculpture, also known as liposuction, is the removal of unwanted fat from specific areas of the body. Using a straw-like tube called a cannula, the fat is drawn out of the body. Since the body does not create new fat cells, this area is forever free of those specific fat cells. Liposuction is not a substitute for weight loss, but rather a way to change what heredity may have dealt you.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)

Can't seem to lose that unsightly belly bulge? Abdominoplasty, known more commonly as a "tummy tuck," is a major surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen and to tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall. The procedure can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen. But bear in mind, it does produce a permanent scar, which, depending on the extent of the original problem and the surgery required to correct it, can extend from hip to hip.

This surgery is particularly helpful to women who, through multiple pregnancies, have stretched their abdominal muscles and skin beyond the point where they can return to normal.

Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)

Are flabby arms keeping you from wearing certain clothes? An arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove loose skin and excess fat deposits in the upper arm. With age, upper arm skin can become loose and flabby. Plastic surgeons will discuss brachioplasty with patients who want to tighten this skin and look as good as they feel.

Thigh Lift

Thigh lift is surgery that removes excess skin and fat from your thighs. The goal of the procedure is to improve the appearance of your thighs by removing the “dimpled look” produced by cellulite. The incision does leave a scar at the hip, but it fades in time and can be hidden by a bathing suit.

Body Lift

Body lift is performed to remove the excess skin or fatty tissue that exists on the body as a result of age or extreme weight loss. More extensive surgery than the tummy tuck, the body lift is performed on the lower torso and upper legs and involves the belly, hips, back, buttocks and outer thighs.

People who have lost a great deal of weight, either through gastric bypass surgery, intestinal bypass surgery or change in nutrition and fitness habits and people who are not able to lose 30 or 40 pounds through diet or exercise may opt for body lift surgeries.

Normal weight women in their 30s and 40s, often many years past giving birth, also opt for body lift surgery to remove remaining post-baby weight and additional weight that came naturally with age.
